The main objectives of this institution are to encourage young scholars to dive deep into the massive ocean of classical subjects and explore many unexplored areas. In addition, the institution also aims at preserving manuscripts found across the country, accepting them from individuals and institutions, and appropriately preserving them. The institute has also begun publishing traditional texts of Sri Vyasaraja Mutt and aims to nurture young talent by providing opportunities for higher research. The library houses nearly 3000 books, and the research center is recognized by Karnataka Sanskrit University.
